18.1.2 carries one fix (2026-10-07): an entitlement licence key whose bracketed
block is broken across lines - by an email client, typically - read as invalid and
locked the grid.
That is this app's key path. The DC licence payload carries `hot_license_key`, and
licence.service puts it on `hotTable.licenseKey` for every grid - editor, viewer,
viewboxes, stage, multi-dataset, xlmap - so a key pasted with line breaks would
lock the editor rather than open it, on 18.1.1.
Both packages move together. The licence-checker exclusions pick up the new
version too: handsontable and @handsontable/angular-wrapper declare `SEE LICENSE
IN LICENSE.txt`, which the checker reports as a custom licence, so every pinned
version is listed in excludePackages - 18.1.1 was already there, 18.1.2 is added
beside it.
Checked: client 603/603, production build green, npm audit --omit=dev clean,
licence checker "All packages are licensed properly".
The npm audit gate started failing on advisories that landed upstream, so
nothing can merge until the client tree is patched:
- @angular/* 20.3.33 -> 20.3.34 (XSRF token leak in HttpClient, SSR DoS in
the router)
- @sasjs/adapter 5.1.0 -> 5.1.2 (brings a patched axios)
- fast-uri override 3.1.8 -> 4.2.3 (the override was pinning the vulnerable
version; ajv only needs it for URI resolution)
- lockfile refresh takes moment, undici, follow-redirects and brace-expansion
to their patched versions, and re-resolves the @angular-devkit build
toolchain within its existing ^ range
Verified in client/: npm audit --omit=dev reports 0 vulnerabilities, npm run
test:headless is 589/589, npm run build succeeds, lint:check and
license-checker pass.
@sasjs/utils is imported directly across the client but was left as a caret
range in the 7.18 bump, while every other dependency in the file is exact.
Pin it to 4.0.0, which is the version the lockfile already resolves.
jsrsasign is declared but referenced nowhere in the tracked source - the only
other mentions are the lockfile entry and a historical CHANGELOG line - so
drop it.
Lockfile regenerated with npm install --package-lock-only; the only deltas are
the pinned range and the removed jsrsasign tree. 570/570 unit tests pass.
sas/package.json
@sasjs/cli 4.20.5 -> 4.20.9
@sasjs/core 5.2.8 -> 5.5.2
client/package.json
@sasjs/adapter 4.19.1 -> 5.1.0
@sasjs/utils ^3.6.0 -> ^4.0.0
Both client bumps are majors, and both are safe here:
- @sasjs/adapter 5.0.0 raised engines.node to >= 22. The workflows run Node
24.15.0 (24.5.0 in release.yaml), so the floor is satisfied. 5.1.0 also
repackaged the adapter as compiled modules - DC imports only the package
root (SASjsConfig, UploadFile, SASjsRequest), which index.d.ts still
re-exports through ./types, and the package ships no exports map, so the
imports DC does make are unaffected.
- @sasjs/utils 4.0.0 stopped re-exporting ./fs from the package root. DC
imports @sasjs/utils/input/validators and @sasjs/utils/types/serverType,
neither of which is fs, and both still ship in 4.0.0.
@sasjs/adapter 5.1.0 depends on @sasjs/utils 4.0.0, so the two move together.
The shelljs override in sas/package.json is dropped: @sasjs/cli 4.20.9 no
longer depends on shelljs, so nothing in the tree resolves to it any more and
the pin was dead config. The nanoid pin is untouched.
Lockfiles regenerated with npm install --package-lock-only --ignore-scripts,
then validated by enumerating every added, removed and version-changed entry
and tracing each one back to @sasjs/cli, @sasjs/core, @sasjs/adapter or
@sasjs/utils. No entry was pruned as extraneous.
Verified by reproducing the Build-and-ng-test gates locally:
npm audit --omit=dev 0 vulnerabilities in root, sas/ and client/
npm run lint:check pass
npm run license-checker pass
npm run test:headless 563/563 SUCCESS
npm run build pass
handsontable and @handsontable/angular-wrapper 18.0.0 -> 18.1.1, plus the
two repo-owned places that pin the version.
18.1 fixes two bugs this repo's specs had pinned as failure modes:
- "Sheet size limit exceeded" (upstream #10672): the formulas plugin used
to push the grid's maxRows into the HyperFormula engine as its sheet
size limit, so a licensing cap below an existing table's row count made
the engine reject the whole table. initSetup works around it with
Math.max(dataSource.length, editor_rows_allowed).
- Formula corruption on updateSettings while a sort is active: a bare {}
settings object was enough to turn formula cells into #REF!.
updateSettingsSortSafe clears and restores the sort around every call.
Both specs now assert the fixed behaviour instead, so a future regression
shows up. DC's own workarounds are untouched.
18.1.1 also fixes a filters plugin crash that lands on DC's usage exactly
(upstream #13480): editing a cell in a filtered column, or replacing the
data with a filter active, after updateSettings() with the filters option.
The Angular wrapper calls updateSettings on every update, and DC's viewer
and viewboxes run filters: true.
18.1.0 is mostly a performance release (viewport cell-meta release, index
translation, single-pass layout, bulk operations).
Also:
- licenseChecker.js: add the 18.1.1 handsontable packages to
excludePackages, or the build stops at the license-checker step (the
library's licence string is non-standard).
- _hot-icons.scss: regenerated by scripts/gen-hot-icons.mjs; drops the
Pikaday rules because 18.1 removed the leftover Pikaday theme styles.
- dc-validator.spec.ts: 18.1 tightened ColumnSettings['validator'] to its
real union (RemoveIndexSignature), so narrow it the way the production
code already does.
The CI "Check audit" step (`npm audit --omit=dev`) now fails on the
client tree because of advisories published after the last green build:
- @angular/router 20.0.0 - 20.3.31 (SSR DoS) - bump @angular/* to 20.3.33
- fast-uri 3.0.0 - 3.1.7 - bump the override to 3.1.8
- brace-expansion, moment, undici - updated by `npm audit fix`
`npm audit --omit=dev` is clean after this. Verified with the production
build, the 548 unit tests and the Cypress suite.
Adds a fourth admin action to the System information screen - Export DC
Library DDL - with a secondary flavour chooser (SAS, PGSQL, TSQL) and an
optional schema box for the DB flavours. The selection is passed to the
existing services/admin/exportdb service in a new window as URL params.
Also bumps @sasjs/adapter to ^4.19.1, adds a Cypress spec for the three
flavour states, and adds a TSQL case to the exportdb SAS test.
Closes#179
Fixed by patching only the 12 needed entries directly (9 @angular/*
packages to 20.3.27, brace-expansion to 5.0.9, fast-uri to 3.1.5, undici to 6.28.0) with exact registry resolved/integrity metadata, leaving the other 1925 packages untouched.
Incremental `npm install <pkg>@version` patches left the lockfile
internally inconsistent enough that CI's `npm ci` rejected it as out of
sync with package.json (a long list of unrelated nested deps reported
missing). Regenerated from scratch instead of patching further; verified
with a clean `npm ci`, matching the resolved versions from the prior fix.
- Angular packages (core/common/compiler/animations/forms/
platform-browser*/router/compiler-cli) all peer-depend on each other's
exact version - npm audit fix only bumped the three with a direct
advisory, leaving the rest mismatched; a plain `npm install` tolerated
it but CI's strict `npm ci` didn't. All now resolve to 20.3.27.
- undici/fast-uri updated via npm audit fix; brace-expansion pinned to
^5.0.9 via overrides (npm's resolver wasn't proactively bumping a
nested transitive dep that already satisfied its declared range)
npm audit fix only bumped @angular/core/common/compiler to 20.3.27 (the
packages with a direct advisory), leaving animations/forms/platform-browser*/
router at 20.3.26 - each peer-depends on the others' exact version, so the
mismatch passed a lenient `npm install` locally but failed CI's strict
`npm ci`. All seven now resolve to 20.3.27.
- Angular packages resolve within their existing ^20.3.26 range up to
20.3.27, which patches two advisories (HttpTransferCache cache-key
ambiguity, i18n XSS via event-handler attributes)
- brace-expansion (via exceljs -> archiver -> readdir-glob -> minimatch)
needed an override to ^5.0.9 - npm's resolver won't proactively bump a
nested transitive dep that already satisfies its declared semver range,
even when a patched version exists inside that same range
Bumps @angular/* to 21 (passing through 20 as a transient step, since
vendored Clarity has no Angular-20-compatible release) and
@typescript-eslint to 8.65.0 for TS 5.9 compat. Applies the required
ng update migrations, including *ngIf/*ngFor/*ngSwitch -> control-flow
syntax across 37 templates.
Bump handsontable and @handsontable/angular-wrapper 17.1 -> 18.0 and
adapt to its stricter TypeScript-core types: moved handsontable/common
and deep walkontable imports to their new public export paths, added
explicit generics/casts where getData()/getCellMeta()/getSelected() are
now typed unknown/nullable instead of the loose v17 shapes, and updated
the AutocompleteEditor override to the new open() signature.
Also allowlists @handsontable/angular-wrapper@18.0.0 and
handsontable@18.0.0 in licenseChecker.js — both versions report the
same non-SPDX "SEE LICENSE IN LICENSE.txt" field that license-checker
mis-resolves as a disallowed custom license, same as prior versions.
