Data Controller for SAS® - a Customer Story
Data Controller for SAS® empowers business users to self serve their data updates, by providing restricted access to the data values whilst protecting the data model. This short customer story shows what that looks like for Data and Analytics teams in regulated industries.
The distinction is the whole point. An editor can add, correct and delete rows in the tables they are responsible for, but they cannot change the structure underneath - no new columns, no altered formats, no dropped keys. The shape of the table is fixed, and only its contents move. Every change is staged, validated at the point of entry, reviewed as a diff and approved by a data owner before it is loaded, with a full audit trail of who changed what, when and why.
