    7.9.0 (2026-06-29)

    This is a big release, with multiple new features!

    • Visual Analytics integration (choose displayed variables and apply report filters). This is a brand-new way to embed the editor inside a SAS Visual Analytics report as a data-driven content (DDC) object.
    • Four new validation rules: READONLY, HIDDEN, ROUND and NUMBER_FORMAT. For upgrades you can add these as default selections using this script.
    • Export to Excel (frontend). Available as a right click context menu:

    The handsontable library was also updated, now providing native date and time pickers.

    Note that DISPLAY_VALUE (previously a part of dynamic cell validation) has now been deprecated, in favour of NUMBER_FORMAT as a more robust formatting mechanism.
